Meet Claire Lupfer, RDN
Associate at Jane Reagan Nutrition
Claire has always had a passion for health and wellness, especially the power of food and nutrition. She believes food is medicine and the impacts of adequate nutrition are often underestimated. Claire stands behind the saying “everything in moderation,” which she applies to her daily practice. She takes a non-diet approach and helps individuals build a healthy relationship with food, tailored to their specific needs and experiences. Claire accounts for each individual’s physical, mental and social circumstances to ensure nutrition recommendations can be flexible and sustainable long-term.
Claire is currently serving as a Clinical Inpatient Registered Dietitian Nutritionist at a large hospital in the Minneapolis area working with patients in various stages of life and health, providing nutrition plans of care, counseling, and education. From critical care to general medical concerns, Claire has experience with gastrointestinal issues, chronic illness and disease, nutrition support (i.e., tube-feeding), oncology, cardiac, surgical, neurological issues, diabetes, weight management, eating disorders, wounds, renal concerns, geriatrics, substance abuse and more in the clinical setting.
Claire has worked as a member of the Jane Reagan Nutrition team since January 2022 where she has assisted with research and resource development. Claire helped develop and currently supports The Eating Disorder Recovery Roadmap for Parents program where she most notably developed >50 informational and interactive handouts for Jane’s parent program. Claire is now seeing clients for private nutrition counseling under Jane’s supervision via telehealth only, but Claire plans to move back to Boulder in the summer of 2024.
